Biography
Anita’s work explores how environments, from rivers to groundwater systems, influence human health. Her research has examined mercury, lead, and uranium exposures in tribal communities, while her recent fellowships supported projects addressing waste and environmental impacts in rural Alaska.
Blending geology, environmental science, and public health, Anita works closely with communities and agencies to better understand environmental risks and support safer, healthier places to live.
Outside of Work
Anita loves skiing, hiking, trail running, and spends creative time beading and sewing.
