Travel Scholarship

The ASCH Travel Scholarship helps support participation in meetings and conferences; especially for students and emerging professionals.

What the Scholarship Covers

Conference registration

Airfare (coach)

Ground transportation

Lodging

Per diem (as funds allow)

Reimbursement only: Funds are paid after travel is completed, once receipts and a brief written report are submitted.
Awards depend on available funding and may not cover full costs.

Who Is Eligible for Reimbursement

You must be a current ASCH member.

ACTIVE PARTICIPANTS

If you will be playing an active role in the meeting/conference, you are eligible to apply!
Presenting (oral or poster)
Moderating a session
Serving on a planning committee
Acting as an appointed ASCH delegate

STUDENTS

We prioritize students with accepted presentations, and may reimburse student travel even if you do not have an active conference role.

OTHER APPLICANTS

If you do not have an active role, you may request reimbursement for registration only.
Reduced-rate memberships are available for students and individuals who are unemployed or underemployed.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted year-round.

Submit the ONLINE FORM at least 30 days before the conference registration deadline. If you miss that window, submit the form and email asch.circumpolar.usa@gmail.com with a short explanation up to 250 words.

Awards are determined by the ASCH Board and notifications are sent by email.

Submit the required items within 4 weeks of the conference’s completion.

Important Notes

Decisions are final and based on funding availability.
Reimbursements cannot be guaranteed before travel dates.
Awards may be less than the total amount requested.
