Biography

Dr. Robert Onders brings extensive experience in clinical medicine, health system leadership, and Tribal health administration. As Chief Medical Officer for Maniilaq Health Center, he supports healthcare delivery across Northwest Alaska, with a focus on quality, access, and system-wide improvement.

Previously, Dr. Onders held senior leadership roles with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, including Administrator of Alaska Native Medical Center and President of Alaska Pacific University during its affiliation with ANTHC. His career reflects a deep commitment to strengthening healthcare systems serving rural and Indigenous communities.

Outside of Work

Dr. Onders is known for bridging clinical practice, public administration, and legal expertise to advance effective and sustainable health systems.
