Biography
Ruby studies how social, nutritional, and cultural systems shape health outcomes across northern communities; not only where risks exist, but also where resilience thrives. Her work centers on research practices that respect community ownership of data and elevate local priorities.
Through teaching and mentorship, Ruby helps prepare the next generation of circumpolar health professionals to approach research with humility and collaboration.
Outside of Work
Ruby enjoys skiing, hiking, berry picking, and spending time outdoors throughout Alaska.
